Sometimes just sitting on the floor with the kids can inspire some interesting activities.
My 3 year old loves his farm animals and what a better way to teach our youngest than by example. She is around 11 months old in these pics.
There the 3 year old was playing with his farm animals and little miss with her blocks when the usual happened. He wanted her toys and she wanted his. The next thing I see he is stacking his animals on the blocks and little sister is following along and doing the same!
A little play adventure turned into a practice of hand / eye coordination! I just love the look of concentration on little misses face trying to get the animals to stand up on the blocks, just like her brother did!
I am always in awe of children taking the lead on learning for themselves and sometimes we just have to remember to let things run and stand aside and watch.
The blocks can be found on amazon here.

What a wonderful child-led play time 🙂 I can just see my son wanting to do this! Will try setting up a similar invitation to play to see what he decides to do with these materials!
