With Easter coming up my kiddos and I explored some egg shell crafts. My three-year-old and I enjoyed sticking the colorful shells on the free hand egg shape I drew. Later that day, my two-year-old enjoyed touching and and admiring the creative craft we made. He is currently more into sensory activities than my three-year-old, who is more into the crafty things. Regardless, these Easter activities for preschoolers were enjoyable (in different ways) for all of my children.
Kids Craft With Egg Shells
To craft these Easter activities for preschoolers you will need:
- Some paper and a pencil (I used a crayon)
- Your dyed egg shells (click to find out how we made ours)
- Craft Glue
- Optional ear bud to spread the glue on the paper
This egg shell craft is rather simple. Crush the shells down to a smaller and manageable size, spread the glue and stick! What a great Easter picture.
My three little munchies joined in the Easter activities for preschoolers each in their own way.
My three-year-old is doing his own rainbow egg shell sticking whereas my two-year-old is more interested in the lids. Even still, my nine-month-old – who is just learning to pull herself up – enjoys trying to grab everything in sight and taste it.
P.S. That’s also the new kids crafty table my husband made from some odd bits of wood hanging around. It’s being put to much use! 🙂
Learn and Play with Easter Activities for Preschoolers
As you saw from the various age ranges of my kiddos, this activity can be enjoyed and adapted for many different stages of childhood. Your child will be practicing their:
- Fine motor skills
- Creativity
- Hand eye coordination
- And more!
Your children are sure to learn and have fun while engaging in the spirit of the Easter celebration. Let me know how you and your family liked these Easter activities for preschoolers!

I can’t wait until my boys are old enough to do things like this. Dan’s got a while to go, but Dexter is just about able to take direction. 🙂
