This is the cover for my little girls quiet book I made for her 2nd birthday. It is also NO SEW, the entire interior of the quiet book is also no sew the same as the actual book itself.
Still need to make the quiet book? Here is the how to make a no sew quiet book tutorial.
How to make this quiet book page
First I made her name. I used a bold thick font in a word document printed it out and cut out the shapes. There is of course a much easier pre-cut solution where you can buy the ABC felt letters on amazon here.
I used a normal school glue stick to stick the paper on the felt for cutting as it peels of very well but still sticks enough for me to cut out.
Next I cut long thin little triangles in some green felt which I used for the grass. Pull the loose triangles off and you have green felt with blades of grass!
To make the flowers I used strips of felt and cut half moons as shown below to get the petal effect. I also cut small circles for the flower centers. Cut 6 petals per flower. I also use this method to cut the leaves.
Add a drop of glue to the yellow dot and paste the petals. I used a tooth pick for securing the petals because hot glue is well HOT! hehe
Arrange the items on the front page as you like then glue them down. Do not add the velcro dot until the book is complete because you will not know how thick it is going to be until then.
TIP: I hot glued the dot down as well as the sticky on it did not hold up well to constant opening by toddlers. BUT hot glue sure does!

Can a quiet book be made only with felt? I wish to make one for my baby boy who is fifteen months now. I don’t have any idea about the availability of felt in my place. Can felt be purchased only online? Can you please help me by answering me?
