I simply love easy activities! Today we used the punch for some butterflies and then played with our colorful butterflies!
You will need:
- A punch in a shape you desire (we punched butterflies)
- Card stock in 7 colors (ours are as close to rainbow as we could get)
You can also use paper colors but my particular punch only does well on card stock and I find paper butterflies are easily torn by the kids.
To start punch out 10 butterflies in each color.
Start sorting them! Line up all the red and count them as you sort.
Here you can count each color to 10 or continue on into 20 for the next row.
Arrange the butterflies in a rainbow!
My older preschooler liked the colors in the other direction compared to my younger preschooler.
I just love the colors! I also might have taken more pictures than needed 😉 They are just so pretty! I look forward to doing a craft with this punch. I think it would make something beautiful.
