Keeping a toddler occupied can be exhausting at most times. I am always looking for more activities and games to keep this little miss busy especially during schooling time.
The idea is super simple.
Gather a bunch of large buttons and some card stock then trace around the buttons with a pen. My marker did not do well it kept writing on the buttons too!
Present your child with the sheet and ask them to match up the shapes!
There are 3 ways to play that we are using so far:
- pick up a button, and find a matching traced shape
- select a traced shape and then look for the matching button
- select a button, point to the shape on the card then place the button
Other ideas, dependent on the shapes you traced, you can ask your child to name the shape or the color of the button.
