Alphabet Matching Cards
Playing matching games is always fun, isn’t it? I remember playing as a child and now love playing with my own kids. It is a little competition, a bunch of learning and a ton of fun!
These are super easy to prep. After you print them, you can choose to laminate if you would like. Not only will this extend the life of the activity, but will allow you to use these mats in different ways.

You can take these letter cards and use them as a decoration in your classroom or playroom. You can hang them all uppercase letters together or upper then lowercase opposite of each other. This is a super helpful way for kids to reference the cards when they need a reminder of what a letter looks like.
If your cards are laminated, a simple idea is to use playdough to connect the two alphabet matching cards together. This is absolutely not necessary, but it is just an added element of fun.

The first way that we would play with these alphabet matching cards is to mix up the pieces and ask kids to connect the uppercase letters to the lowercase letters. This will complete the car set and match the letters together.
You can also ask children to put the letters in alphabetical order, either uppercase or lowercase – even both together. This won’t necessarily complete the car, but it will help with an important skill.
However you play with these alphabet matching cards, it is bound to be fun and a huge learning tool. Kids will enjoy the various cars and colors while they are practicing their letters!
