I remember loving paper games like mazes and crossword puzzles as a kid. When I would get an activity book for my birthday and Christmas, the mazes were the first things I would finish. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized that my kids also like the puzzle games, like mazes. So this Dinosaur printable maze is a must in our house! Two of our favorite things all in one!
Dinosaur Maze
Mazes are fantastic for helping children strengthen many different skills.
First it helps strengthen patience and determination. You have to have both to help complete a maze.
Mazes can also be a prewriting activity. Whether children are using a writing utensil or their finger to find their way through the maze, they will be strengthening their hand and finger muscles. This type of activity is also fantastic for helping children’s hand eye coordination.
This is a simple activity to prep too, you only need a few things.
Printer
Paper
Laminator (optional)
Writing Utensil
First print the mazes out. There are three in total. Each one is designed differently from the others. Not only is the activity completely different, there are different images as well. One has a volcano, while another has a palm tree while the third has dinosaur eggs. Each of them have their own dinosaurs as well.

You can print and play with these games, but I like to prep activities so they can be used over and over. If you choose to, laminate the printables. This will allow the activity to be used more than once. You can have the child use a dry erase marker or crayon to complete the maze.
If you don’t laminate, any writing utensil will be sufficient.

Other ideas:
Children could use other things to complete the game. They could create snakes out of play dough to follow the lines. They could also use a bunch of buttons, pom poms or beads to follow along the line of the maze.
