Snowman Ornament Easy For Kids To Make
Here is what you will need:
– White buttons
– crafting felt
– googly eyes
– scissors
– craft glue
– black and orange craft felt or paper
– ribbon
For best results, you may wish to use a hot glue gun and hot glue sticks. They tend to hold all of the pieces in place better than regular craft glue.
Begin by cutting a thin strip of craft felt. You can use any color you wish, but we used blue.
Add some glue to the felt strip. Press three white buttons to the felt to look like a snowman body.
Add some glue to the top button. You can now stick on the pair of googly eyes.
Cut out a few small black buttons and a hat from the black craft felt or paper. Use the glue to attach them to the body and head of the snowman. Allow to dry.
Finish the face of the snowman by adding a piece of orange felt or paper cut into a triangle for the carrot nose.
Once all of your pieces are dry, glue some ribbon to the back of the snowman. Allow to dry.
Once all of your pieces are dry, you can hang your snowman button ornament from the tree! He will look so cute and whimsical, and the kids will love that they created him all on their own. Oh and the best thing?
This is one snowman that WON’T melt!
