Today’s post is combining 2 of my favorite things this month! A Christmas busy bag and fine motor skills!
This little busy bag is a fascination to my kids.
To make you will need:
- 3 tinsel pipe cleaners
- a bunch of small sparkly pom poms
- a peg
To make your tree twist the ends on one side of the pipe cleaners together to secure them together. Next twirl them in spiral on a flat surface.
To store them you will be using the peg. The peg is also going to be used to pick up pom poms and transfer them.
Once you have your pipe cleaners in a spiral pull them from the center up to create a hollow tree. Make sure the opening is big enough for the pom poms.
Transfer the pom poms into the center of the tree with the peg.
Younger kids like my 2 year old who currently can’t open a peg can use their fingers or other items that promote fine motor pincer use.
Once the tree is full the kids can have MORE fun removing the pom poms from the tree one by one. Busy busy little ones!
Pin this idea for later!
