Quite often I hear of sudoku being played by the older generations to help keep their brains strong. This is true for them but it is also true for kids as well. Sudoku is a fun game that can help strengthen a variety of math skills that are crucial for children to maintain. This dinosaur sudoku game is the perfect fun math game for kids!
Dinosaur Sudoku
Besides being fun, this number game can be incredibly beneficial for a child’s development. This game can help improve memory, abstract reasoning, focus, memorizing skills, logical thinking, decision making and attention to detail. Another plus is that all of this can be done while decreasing screen time!
Playing Sudoku
Sudoku is a game of logic and reasoning. This means that guessing is not part of the game. Each game has 16 squares, some of which are already filled in. Each line, going both across and up/down will have the same four dinosaurs. The challenge is, though, that none of the matching dinosaurs should be directly next to each other. Children will figure out which dinosaurs go where to make lines, both across and up/down that includes one of each dinosaur.

Scissors
Glue
Optional:
Laminator
You can simply print the sheets and give them to your child. They can use each page one time by cutting out the optional dinosaurs and pasting them into place. My suggestion with this way of playing is to ask the child to place the dinosaur squares onto the optional blank squares not gluing until the whole puzzle is figured out.
Another option is to print the sheets, cut out the optional dinosaur squares and laminate the whole set. This way the game can be played over and over, or with multiple children. This option provides an option to play in the car or on the go!
