This is the 3rd page of my no sew quiet book for my toddler. On this page my aim was to create a lovely garden scene.
Still need to make the quiet book? Here is the how to make a no sew quiet book tutorial.
To create the flowers please take a look at the detailed photos from the cover page post. Each flower has velcro behind it to detach. Remember to use the same side of the velcro on the quiet book page and the same on the flowers, so your toddler can mix and match their flowers!
The lady bug is free hand cut, below you can see the basic shapes I used. Cut a large circle with a smaller one for the black body. Then another circle in red for the wings and cut that in half. I cut 4 little strips and used 2 for the feelers and cut the other 2 in half for the dots on the wings.
To glue this together please use a tooth pick to guide your items as hot glue is HOT!
Here is the basic glue I did on the leaves to secure them.
Once your lady bug is ready you can do one of two things. Either glue it to the leaf or add velcro to make it detachable.
I also free hand cut a wiggly worm. 😀
Add a sun and a cloud to complete your garden scene.
