I am sure like a vast majority of women out there I am not alone in the world of the tech savvy “other half”. It is so hard to surprise these technical minded loves.
I did some poking around and found these interesting ideas and I hope that at least one will surprise YOUR tech savvy man!
Lets take a look!
My tech savvy husband says:
When I told my husband I would be writing this post and asking his opinion on the things in it ( is this cool?) He told me a few things that you might like to think about for your tech savvy man.
Here is what your tech savvy man might be secretly wanting, whether they know it or not. Most partners are very into purchasing family related items and often would not purchase these for themselves.
- Make your tech savvy man happy by buying a second charger for his device to enable a 2nd charge point at say the other end of the house.
- If he loves reading, do buy a kindle – it is more kindly on the eyes vs a tablet.
- A digital picture frame may be old tech but it is something dedicated to show pictures on your loved ones desk. Not really something a man would buy himself as all. Sure the use of a digital photo album on either iphone or desktop does the same thing. But the digital picture frame is always there displaying, showing the family, love and happiness.
- The elusive hot cuppa. It seems us mothers are not the only ones that seek the hot beverage. Sometime your tech savvy man will get so engrossed in this devices he forgets he has a hot beverage. Gift a USB cup warmer to solve this problem.
Make it yourself:
I love personalized cups! I am sure almost everyone drinks some kind of hot beverage, coffee, tea, hot cocoa? Why not give your tech savvy man a personalized mug decorated with doodle love or with word art.
Not really a make it yourself, but you can totally DIY that shoe box!
Make your tech savvy man a new key ring or a stylish pouch for his device.
I also loved the ideas from 85 Ways to Show You Love Him from Kids Activities Blog.
Gizmo’s and gadgets:
Does your tech savvy man loose his keys or other items, but never his iPhone? Then Stick-N-Find Bluetooth Location Tracker might be a good idea.
Yet another iPhone gadget is this Pocket Projector, OK, I admit it. I want one.
Another nifty device for on the go is the charge card: a super slim USB cable for a phone that fits in the wallet as the size of a credit card.
A hoodie for your device? Yip. I can see the benefits of this for say traveling, it does look cozy. I think I am going to need a matching one to stay snug.
Help your tech savvy man protect his tech with this Pivot Power Flexible Surge Protector. Because it is flexible almost all the plugs are going to fit in there AND you get an excuse to clean up those wires that tend to get everywhere!
Does your tech savvy man love the outdoors as well? This Off the Grid Solar Backpack will make a lovely addition to his equipment.
Gift cards also go a long way:
If you have a tight budget this Season, give the gift of an iTunes gift card. Your loved one will be able to download their favorite music, apps and/or TV shows to their iPhone, iPod and iPad to enjoy all year long.

For sure, you don’t need a holiday to tell someone you love them! Sometimes these holidays are here to remind us to actually give that something extra special. whether it is a physical and thoughtful gift or an extra special homecooked meal.
