Indian corn is a sign of fall and the harvest that is to come, which is why this Lego Indian craft for kids is a fun way to get into the season.
Make a Lego-Stamped Indian Corn Craft
You can create your own Lego Indian corn with just a handful of Lego and a few other household supplies. When done you will have the perfect piece of Indian corn, great for displaying with the rest of your harvest decor.
Supplies needed:
Lego
red, yellow, orange, brown craft paint
paper plate
yellow and green construction paper
craft glue
scissors
Indian Corn Craft Directions:
Begin by assembling your paint on some paper plates. Use the colors suggested and spread the colors out from each other so there is room for them to be used without mixing.
Cut out your main corn pieces from the construction paper. A long oval cut from the yellow paper will resemble the corn, while a few skinnier ovals cut from the green craft paper can be the husks.
Glue your two pieces of paper together to create the full ear of corn. Do this by gluing the two green pieces to the back of the yellow piece.
Now, dip the Lego circle side down into the paint. Use one color at a time. Press the paint dipped Lego onto the corn to create the circle stamp effect. Repeat until the whole ear of corn (just the yellow portion) is covered with the stamped circles.
Allow the paint to dry. Your Indian corn is now ready to be displayed along with the rest of your autumn artwork!
