By now you have heard that we’re doing a fantastic Letter Tracing Worksheet series, right? If not you can see it all here. We started with A and will continue until we reach Z. These worksheets are perfect for preschool and kindergartners.
Letter S Tracing Worksheet
Most children start learning ABCs and 123s in school. After identification and recognition is a perfect time to integrate formation. These letter tracing worksheets are a great way to help children learn to write each letter. Since they are tracing, this prewriting activity is the perfect place to start.
To prep these printables, the only thing you need to do is print them. Optionally you could laminate them, if you want to use them over and over, but that is not required. By laminating, these worksheets can be used repeatedly.
There are two pages in each set. The first page has two different blocks.
The first is tracing inside bubble letter S. This is helpful for children who are learning or need to practice learning the letter formation. It is an uppercase S. Kids can follow the given arrows to know how to write the letter properly.
The second part of the first page has a ‘color the S’s’. There are multiple words that include the letter S and kids will need to color only the S. Alternatively, if they want to color all the S’s with one color and the other letters with a different color, that would work too.

On the second page, there are tracing opportunities of straight letters, not bubble letters. There are also multiple blocks with S words (socks, sandwich, etc) that kids can trace the word, identify the S and color the picture. At the bottom there is space to draw their own S picture.
Each part of this activity is beneficial for all children. Whether they are just beginning or a veteran letter learner, these will be fun and a great practicing tool!
