Welcome to another fab week of playful preschool! This weeks theme is STICKS!
This month we are taking it outside with chalk, water, sticks and rope. As with all our playful preschool posts that go up every wednesday you can follow the hashtag #playfulpreschool on social media and find more ideas for the week’s theme from my co-hosts at the bottom of each post.
Today I have a super simple idea for the kids outside. First you will need to collect some sticks! Then ask the kids to make shapes with them. Simple, super simple!
The kids aka my now 2 preschoolers! (I can’t call my just turned 3 year old a toddler anymore! booo) made various shapes with the sticks. We got a rectangle, square and a triangle out of the few sticks in the yard we managed to collect.
Doing this activity is possible wherever there are sticks! Which makes it great if you are camping this summer or just at the park and there happens to be some sticks around. 😉 So go ahead and have fun!!
Also if you go on nature walks do check out my what to do on a nature walk ideas!

I love how we can use everyday objects found in nature to stretch our learning.
