Learning the months of the year is an important skill for preschoolers and kindergarteners. This Months Of The Year activity set will help you teach your kids all about the different months, their order and even how to spell each month. This set has 7 pages all focused on months of the year. The best part is that while they are fun and effective, they are also easy to prep!
Months Of The Year Activities
After printing, start by giving your child one of the worksheets. You won’t need any supplies, except for coloring utensils, for children to do this activity. If you would like, you can laminate the pages so that they can use these worksheets over and over. If you laminate, they can write on them with dry erase markers.

The first page asks children to put the months of the year in order. It gives a list of the month names and space for all 12 months to be written.
The second page has the month names with the last half of the letters missing. There is a bank of letters, but it is not necessary to use those. Children can refer to the first page or from memory they can finish spelling each word.
The third page is for tracing. Children can learn to properly write each letter that spells out the month names.
The fourth page includes the names of the months all scrambled up. Children will unscramble the words and write them in the boxes provided.
Seasons of the Year
We know that the months are associated with certain seasons. This is what the fifth page is for. Children will sort the months and place them in the season columns that they belong to.
The sixth page is putting the months in order, but not necessarily starting from January. There are three columns: last month, this month and next month. Some of the spaces are empty. Children will have to use critical thinking to decide how to fill in the empty spaces based on the other months listed and in which column.

The last page would have been my favorite as a child. It is a Months Of The Year Word Search. This is a traditional activity and includes all the months of the year. The difference is, though, that it doesn’t list the months in a word bank. Children must find the words and then write them into the word bank themselves. Alternatively, they could write the word then search for it.
