Is your child starting to read? It is such a fun and challenging time for a child! One thing that really helped my daughter was to find easy reader versions of stories that she already knows. For instance, Goldilocks and the Three Bears. My kids love this story, as many do, so an easy reader version of this story was a no brainer for me.
Goldilocks and the Three Bears Antonym Easy Reader
These easy reader books in particular will help children learn all about antonyms. This is another way of saying opposites. Antonyms are words that are opposite from one another, like good & bad or hard & soft. There are a ton of antonyms in the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears!
You won’t need much to prep this book either. After you print, you can connect each page together but that is about it. Grab crayons and let your kiddos get working.

Children can not only color the pictures of the story, but then circle the antonyms that they find when they are reading. There may be a couple on each page.
If you are in the classroom, another option is to print and then laminate. Children can circle the antonyms with a dry erase marker as they read it. You could color the pictures before or leave them black and white.
