Is your child learning addition? It is an important step for children in Kindergarten or even preschool. One way to practice is through printables such as this that help children find all of the ways to make the number 10. This Rainbow To 10 addition printable is super fun!
There are many ways that 10 can be made through addition and this addition printable will help children reach all of them. This activity is not only adorable, it will help children with critical thinking skills when it comes to numbers and parts of a number.
Your kids are going to love this Unicorn Number Cards.
There are both a color version as well as a black and white version. That is helpful if you are a teacher, you can use the black and white version in the classroom. Also, if you don’t have a color printer. The stripes of the rainbow are perfect for coloring in also. So have your kids grab their crayons or markers and get coloring either before or after the math.
The color version is so cute, though. So if you have the opportunity to use the color, I say do it.
The page has a number line, under the rainbow. This is excellent for children who may need a visual representation as well as children who are just being introduced to this math concept.
Below that is a block of equation spaces. The numerator and denomenator are blank. All equations equal 10. There is no right or wrong way to fill these out, as long as the equations equal 10. So if a child wants to start with 1+9, they can. If they want to start with 5+5, that is okay too!
The only prep that this addition printables activity requires is to print and provide a writing or coloring utensil. You could also laminate and use with dry erase markers.
You can also provide manipulaitves if your child needs extra help visualizing the parts of the numbers.
