Using games is a great tool to help teach children new skills or encourage them to practice skills they have already learned. The games don’t have to be complicated. They can be as simple as this Scarecrow Roll and Dot Number Counting game!
Scarecrow Number Counting Game
This free printable set is such a fun way to help children learn or practice number recognition and counting. You only need a few supplies to make this game happen!
To set this up, you will need a few things.
Dice
Bingo Dauber or Coloring tool
Free Printable Game Board (download below)

This game starts by rolling the dice. Typical dice have the numbers 1-6. For this game, you’ll roll the dice and then double the number.
Whichever number the dice lands on, your child will identify that number or count the dots.
Once the number is identified, double it and search for the number on the printable sheet. Once they’ve found it, your child can color it in or mark with a bingo dauber.
This continues until all of the circles are colored in.
You can reuse the Scarecrow Roll and Dot mat if you laminate it and then use a dry erase marker on the mat.
