Let’s Make Sock Puppets!
Making these simple tickle sock puppets will provide endless hours of fun chasing and tickling your little ones! It is AMAZING what happens when you stick a pair of googly eyes on something! This has to be the simplest of any activity we have ever done. Make these simple tickle puppets and bring laughter and silliness to your home. 🙂
In order to make these sock puppets, I simply grabbed one of Daddy’s socks and stuck a pair of googly eyes on it. Then, I put it on my hand and went in search of my first tickle sock victim.
Found him!
Smiles all around before I even got to tickling! tickle tickle with the sock puppet monster…
He then wanted to also wear the sock. We are off to hunt for his brother! 😀
While totally not necessary, you can get even more creative with these sock puppet crafts by picking up some fabric paint from the store or from Amazon. Set up a station for your crafting and encourage your child to help you make the silly sock “monster.” You could draw some crazy hair, facial features, or scary/silly looking monster faces. Get as creative as you want with it!
Also, you can use your sock puppets to put on a show for your kids or have them prepare a show for you. Sock puppets are a great way to practice theatre and improv, as there are so many stories that you and your little one can imagine for your new friend to tell. You might find yourself in a castle with princesses and princes, or slaying a dragon to get to the chest of golden treasure – the world is your oyster!
