This activity is apart of our 20 days of simple play ideas collection, see all 20 here!
Today’s simple play activity is ice play! Rather easy to accomplish and great fun in the sun or even in the snow. (It will last longer in the snow too!)
Here we go, Choo Choo!
Like I said this is rather simple. Grab a mould of your choice add one or 5 drops of food coloring (I added WAY too much) add water and freeze the day before play.
Empty out the moulds and let the kids at it. I love imaginative play! They were lining them up like trains and inspecting the color on the tiles.
This one is for the sunny part of this activity. Put your ice in the water and play! Watch those colors make little pools and color your water!
I also wrote about playing with ice with my youngest and how she explored it 😀
