This one is amazing for its simplicity and ability to keep a toddler interested for a long period of time when you are near. It’s effortless extendable play as they will likely play with the toy after the paper fun is done. It’s a fun way to hang out with your toddler, with opportunities for multi-tasking.
Materials:
- Sheet of wrapping paper
- Smallish toy
Fold or roll the toy up inside the wrapping paper. Do not use tape.
Ask the child what they think is inside. Let them unwrap it. Be excited about finding the toy with your child.
Rewrap the toy in front of them and ask them again to guess what is inside. Repeat this until the child tires of it.
