My 3 year old LOVES dinosaurs (and cats) she often stalks around the house roaring at her brothers and sister. Today I made her a little puzzle game using her plastic dinosaur figurines. I have the files at the bottom for you to download but I also explain how you make yourself these printables because we all know that the dinosaur sets are not all the same!
My daughter has big dinosaurs and little dinosaurs so taking photos like this put all the dinos at the same size, this I think turned into a fun game because she had to look for the matching ones without relying on size.
The matching of the dinosaurs is just a little extra to the puzzles themselves so this activity will still work if you just print out the cards. I suggest printing them out on cardstock for a firmer puzzle.
6 of the puzzles are just adding 2 pieces together so this would be suitable for younger children who are just starting out with puzzles and love dinosaurs too.
If you would like to make your cards all you need is a bit of white paper. Let it loop up on something (mines one of the kids plastic baskets that held the dinos) use tap the secure it. Either using your camera or phone take some pictures in a well lit area. I have a huge window facing this set up.
Load your images up to picmonkey.com and create a “collage” of 4 grids 576×792 (letter size) and remove the padding. print it out and cut into whichever sizes you need.

this prints out funny…you can tell in the file when you open it, the dinos on the right get their tails cut off and the second page has an extra weird line running through. The idea is great, the file is not.

Ok, I see where I missed that the second page has dinos that are supposed to split into 4 parts not just two. but still, the ones on right are cut off.

Ask your printer to “fit to page” when you print and it will bring everything.
