Do your kids love playing games like mine do? They will never turn down a good game, especially one with a theme that they love – like dinosaurs! The dinosaur theme helps motivate them for anything, including learning activities! Just like with this Dinosaur Board Game. Kids will strengthen skills like color recognition and sorting.

Printable Dinosaur Board Game
This game has a variety of different dinosaurs on each game space, but it is simple enough that toddlers can play too. This game helps strengthen important skills for kids including:
Taking Turns
Color Identification
Counting
Same & Differences
Setting up this game will only take you a few minutes. So whether you are prepping for a classroom or for your kids at home, this won’t take you forever. Print the game piece and dice out.
The dice is super simple to put together. Cut it out, with scissors, and then fold on the lines. Glue the flap in and viola!
I prefer to laminate game boards, to keep them playable for longer, but this is optional. You could also use dry erase pockets.
For the actual game pieces, you could use whatever you would like. If you have small dinosaur figures, that would be fun, but if not even something as simple as pom poms would be perfect.
Playing this game is super simple and fun.
We usually go with youngest or oldest goes first, but however you decide is perfect. Everyone begins at the START spot.
The first person should start by rolling the dice. Follow the spaces until a matching dinosaur comes along. That is the space that they wait at. Next follows the same process until everyone has had a turn. Then start the process over until someone hits the end of the game first and wins.
You could even add some extra fun to it by choosing a ‘dare dino’. If someone lands on that specific dino (or background color) they have to take a dare.
Examples of these dino dares could be:
Sing instead of talking until your next turn
Keep your eyes closed until your next turn
Talk like someone else in the room until your next turn
Sit backwards in your chair until your next turn
Quote the alphabet
Spell sight words
You can make up your own dares too.
We love our Dino & Volcano Board Game too!
This game is so super simple that it can lead to a ton of different versions where kids are learning and still having fun!
