Learning the ABCs is one of the first things that children will learn. It is the beginning of reading, writing and so much more. It is important that children grasp the whole concept of letter identification before they can move onto beginning sounds, spelling, reading and more. In my opinion, providing fun activities for kids to help them learn is the best way. This Find It ABC I Spy Game is a prime example!
Find It ABC I Spy Game
This is such a fun way to practice each letter individually. Do you do a letter of the day or week? This is PERFECT for that!
There are two options for this activity. You can use it one time with do a dot markers OR you can laminate and use dry erase markers. You could also make use of dry erase pockets, those are always convenient. If you are preparing this activity for a classroom, the latter might be your best bet but at home it makes no difference. It just depends on how many times you plan on using this activity!
My kids also love this Ocean I Spy Printable!
Either way there are only a few supplies that are needed to prep and play with this activity.
Do A Dot Markers
Laminator Machine
Dry Erase Markers
Dry Erase Pockets
We also used a magnifying glass to help with the fun in the game, but this is completely optional.

Print out each page, to start. If you choose to laminate, this would be the time to do that.
Set out the activity for your child.
The purpose of this activity is to be able to identify a specific letter and search for it among other letters. This is helpful for ensuring that letter identification is mastered because it focuses on each letter individually.
You can also see that each page has it’s own picture. The picture is of a word that starts with the letter for that page. A = Apple, B = Ball, etc. This picture can be colored too if you choose not to laminate.
This is overall a super fun activity, one that can last a few weeks if you want it to. It is also engaging for children yet they can learn so much!
