You will need:

– large/jumbo pom poms in choice of colors
– googly eyes, large
– pipe cleaners
– craft glue or hot glue, glue gun

making a wooly caterpillar

You can find everything you need at your local craft or dollar store. The larger the pom poms, the better!

Begin by arranging you pom poms in the order you desire. You can create a specific color pattern, or a random pattern of your choosing based on color preferences.

Once you have the poms lined up in the order you want, add a generous dab of glue in between each pom. Press the poms together so they adhere well. Hold in place until dry and secure.

Line up 5-7 pom poms using this method. Allow to dry.

While the poms dry, create the antenna for your caterpillar. Simply bend and twist the pipe cleaner (use the color of your choice) into a curly shape. Use the hot glue to add the pipe cleaners behind the first pom.

Finish your caterpillar by adding the googly eyes in place. A simple dab of glue on each eye will do the trick.
